The Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) at WashU

Project descriptions featured below

In my four years in college, I was heavily involved with ALAS with a passion to involve myself in the Latine community. Starting in a design committee in the arts magazine Latinxpresion, then moving into Programming Chair, my final 2 years were my most impactful and ambitious as Public Relations (PR) Chair.

By expanding social media reach and content creation, I created marketing foundations that boosted engagement and increased the publicity of the club on campus and outside of it.

Carnaval is an annual Latine cultural showcase which its diverse cultures through various dance acts (salsa, bomba, etc) and highlights Latine issues with a theatrical play.

I wanted to use my video skills to highlight the show's diversity by creating promotional materials which tell the show's story and recaps the people working to make it happen behind the scenes.

PR

As ALAS's PR Chair, I took a bold and innovative strategy to engage prospective and existing ALAS members in the virtual space. Reels, photo & video recaps, and more are featured below.

This "Hype Video' above is one of many videos which played before each act in the theater.

The videos above and below are recaps of Carnaval 2023 and 2024 respectively.
